CIS-BCCI President meets Russian Ambassador in Dhaka

President of CIS-BCCI (Commonwealth of Independent States-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry) Mr. Mohammad Ali Deen had a courtesy call on meeting with the Russian Ambassador in Dhaka H.E Mr. Alexander Vikentyevich Mantytskiy today (February 14, 2024) at the embassy office.
CIS-BCCI President Mr. Mohammad Ali Deen highlighted on the activities of the CIS-BCCI Chamber in the private sector forum for promoting the trade and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and CIS Countries with special focus on Russia.
He emphasized on the potentiality of Russian market for Bangladesh in our bid to diversity the export market as well as diversification of products. In order to augment our export on RMG (Readymade Garments), Garments Accessories, Pharmaceuticals, Leather goods, seafood and other products Russian market should be tapped fully, he pointed out. He further underscored on improving connectivity with Russia through shipping cargo, warehouse facilities in Russia and adequate banking facilities for smooth transaction in business. He also requested for more simplification of Business Visa for the genuine businessmen for easy and frequent travel.

In response H.E Mr. Alexander Vikentyevich Mantytskiy, Russian Ambassador in Dhaka also reciprocated the idea saying that both Russian & Bangladesh are engaged in deep friendship right after liberation of Bangladesh and emphasized on widening the scope for furthering bilateral trade and commerce.

He further proposed to have a Russian Trade Fair in Dhaka to be organized by Russian Embassy in Dhaka and CIS-BCCI sometime in September/October 2024.
President of CIS-BCCI Mr. Mohammad Ali Deen expressed hope that business transaction with Russia will further grow if Taka/Ruble currency can be exchanged in Import/Export. CIS-BCCI is also going to take ‘Russian Business Language Course’ at the Chamber for facilitating the businessmen of the country to have easy business communication with Russian counterparts, he added.
CIS-BCCI President Mr. Mohammad Ali Deen, Vice President Mr. Jadab Debnath, Director Ms. Salma Hossain Ash and Adviser Mr. Mahbub Islam Runu were among others present at the meeting.
